To help us fix a problem quickly, please tell us:
- your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About);
- the app version (shown on the App Store page under Version History);
- what you were doing when it happened, and what you expected instead;
- a screenshot or screen recording, if you can take one.
How to play
- Aim: drag on the table to turn the cue. Use the ‹ › buttons for fine aim.
- Shoot: drag the power bar down and let go. The further you pull, the harder you hit.
- Spin: tap the cue-ball circle to set where you strike it — above the centre for follow, below for draw, to the side for swerve off the cushions. Double tap to centre it.
- Camera: tap the View button for Behind, Side, Top and Pocket views. Pinch to zoom, and drag with two fingers to look around. Zoom all the way out to see the whole table. The ⟲ button puts the camera back.
- Modes: play the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard; hand the phone round in Pass & Play; or open Practice to rerack and move the cue ball freely.
- Rules: standard 8-ball. Pot your group (solids or stripes), then the 8. Fouls give your opponent ball in hand.
Common questions
There's no sound. Check that your iPhone's ring/silent switch is set to ring, that the volume is up, and that Sound is on in the game's Settings. If the sound stops after a phone call, return to the game and tap the screen once.
The game feels slow or the battery drains. Open Settings and set Graphics to Low. Auto picks a level for your phone, but Low is the lightest.
I'm left-handed. Turn on "Left-handed controls" in Settings to move the shot controls to the other side.
Can I play in landscape? Yes — turn your phone either way and the game follows, as long as your iPhone's rotation lock is off.
Does quitting a match count? Yes. Quitting or restarting a match against the computer counts as a loss in your stats.
The guide line is too long or too short. Settings → Guide line lets you choose Short or Long.
Can I reset my stats? Not from inside the game. Deleting and reinstalling the app clears all stats and settings.
Does it need the internet? No. The game is completely offline — on a plane, underground, anywhere.
Will my stats move to a new phone? Stats are stored on the device. They come across in an encrypted iPhone backup or a direct device-to-device transfer, but there is no account to sign in to.
The app crashed or won't open. Force-quit it and reopen it; if that fails, restart the phone, and then reinstall. Please email us so we can fix it — tell us your phone model and iOS version.
